Grade 6 in GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature
Strong record in written and analysis based subjects.
If EPQ is focussed on specialist subject matter (e.g. Neuroscience) then strong performance is also expected in the relevant subjects.
Alongside the entry requirements for each course, you will also need to achieve the minimum Sixth Form entry requirements, which you can find here.
Assessment
100% Coursework
Next Steps
The EPQ gives you the unique opportunity to tailor your learning to suit your desired career or future study choices. The possibilities are endless!
The EPQ also demonstrates that you have some of the key skills required for university study such as research, referencing, organisation, communication, marshalling evidence and self-motivation. It is very good evidence to put in a UCAS personal statement.
Professional Adobe Qualification
The qualification is designed as a “stretch and challenge” opportunity, to investigate a topic beyond the normal confines of an A Level qualification.
This is 100% coursework, internally marked and then externally moderated. Students choose their own topics based on personal interests, career ambitions or university applications.
Students work independently to produce either a 5000 word research report or an artefact (creative work, podcast or similar) on a topic of their own choice. They will also deliver a presentation to a non-specialist audience.
