Here at Hornsea Sixth Form students are proud of their school community and strive to fulfil their promise and potential.
Staff work together across our sixth form family to provide the best academic and pastoral support we can, so our young people can be the best they can.
Results have been great, with 59% of all A level grades A*-B and a pass rate of 100% in 2022. Amongst our many points to celebrate last year, we had a Year 13 successfully obtaining the grades to attend Oxford University, and another confirmed for Medical School. They are both part of the huge 70% of our young people who secured a University place from our 2022 cohort. Many others secured destinations on apprenticeships, employment or other education pathways. Most importantly, our young people are confident, caring and well-rounded individuals who we are very proud to be associated with.
Our broad curriculum offers 30+ A Level courses or other equivalent Level 3 programmes. We also offer students the opportunity to take their studies beyond the classroom, through participating in extra-curricular and enrichment activities to create independent and creative learners. Most importantly, the curriculum enables students to lead happy, fulfilled lives and to develop their passion for learning.

Our Pathways programme allows students to tailor their learning, building their skills and Sixth Form experiences around a specific career goal, in their desired industry. You can read more about our Pathways here.
We are not an exam factory; exam grades alone seldom facilitate future prosperity, curiosity or well-being. The curriculum fosters the development of students’ personal growth and resilience,
