Some of our sixth form pupils took part in their practice Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition across two days in October.
They walked for over 7 hours a day through the challenging countryside of the North York Moors. They carried a heavy load as they had to be self sufficient, carrying their own food, stoves, tents and clothing.
They did a fantastic job and demonstrated excellent navigational skills and the ability to deal with rather damp weather conditions. They look forward to completing the assessed expedition early in Spring 2018.
