HSLC hosted the first event of the Year 6 Transition Calendar on Thursday 12th October 2017. Following a presentation from Mr Ostler, Headteacher, the Year 6 families were taken on a tour of the school. Whilst on their tour they attended taster sessions from the different subjects that we offer at HSLC.
The below photo gallery gives a small glimpse of the array of activities that took place during these sessions. To give you some examples; Room 55 was transformed into a French restaurant for the night; a cookery room became a 'calamity kitchen' for Year 6 families to spot the hazards, the Bush Tucker Trial was on offer for those that dare try and History served up ration food!
Everyone at HSLC would like to thank the families for making these sessions so enjoyable by getting involved and trying new things!
If you were unable to attend the Year 6 Open Evening an extra date has been added. We will be holding two sessions on Monday 23rd October at the following times; Session 1 - 9.30 - 10.30 am and Session 2 - 4.00 - 5.00 pm.
We encourage families to attend the earlier session wherever possible so that you are also able to see HSLC in action and witness for yourself the teaching and learning that takes place!
The next event on the Transition Calendar is the Family Learning Day in May. We look forward to seeing you there!
