Adele Howitt Artist at HSLC

The art department are delighted to have had professional artist Adele Howitt working with us. Adele Howitt has been connected with the school since 2015 when the 'heritage on the high street' project was launched. More recently she has been delivering a series of pottery workshops to students from years 7, 8, 9 ,10 and year 12. We have been able to deliver these workshop through investment from the heritage lottery funding as part of the heritage on the high street project .The funding has allowed us to purchase ceramic equipment including a kiln and a potters wheel. She has been teaching students skills that would have been used at Hornsea Pottery. The project's aim is to provide a lasting legacy for our school and provide some fantastic opportunities for our students. If you would like to keep up-to-date on the progress of the project, you can ‘like’ the project’s Facebook page Heritage on the High Street, A Celebration of Hornsea Pottery
