•    We want everyone to be able to contribute, and everyone to have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Aims:

•    To provide a safe, supportive and positive environment which underpins strong attitudes to learning where students can thrive;
•    To ensure a culture and ethos that supports our students wanting to come to school to learn, not only for purpose (which includes examination outcomes) but also to promote a genuine love for learning, enquiry and discovery;
•    To prepare our students so that they will become positive contributors to society with the skills and knowledge to make informed choices.

Etiquette         

- Moving around school in a sensible manner, i.e. keeping to the left in corridors/on stairs, allowing people to pass at doorways and holding doors open for them.

NO Swearing

- Expressing yourself in an appropriate way, without the use of swear words.

Polite

- Manners, saying ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ‘excuse me’.

Esteem

- Holding everyone at HSLC in high esteem means to respect them and be tolerant.

- Having high self-esteem and being proud of the uniform.

Courtesy

- Acting kindly towards others.

- Being a good friend.

Tidy

- Putting litter in the bin.

- Leaving a classroom as you found it, helping to tidy away books, putting chairs under, taking care of property and possessions.
