Hornsea School & Language College is a very successful rural comprehensive school, with over 1100 students and approximately 190 staff. The school is recognised as being Good by Ofsted and has enjoyed national recognition for academic progress. The School has an innovative and committed leadership team who manage the school in a way that engages the enthusiasm and support of the staff, parents/carers and students. The School’s success has therefore come as a result of the dedication and passion from all of these stakeholders.
Staff feel their views and opinions are both listened to and valued and are proud to be a member of staff at HSLC (Ofsted October 2010). This enthusiasm and commitment to the students and School enables everyone to benefit from a respectful and mutually supportive relationship between both the teaching and support staff.

Hornsea School & Language College pursues equality of opportunity in employment. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. The suitability of all prospective employees or volunteers will be assessed during the recruitment process in line with this commitment. All employees and volunteers are required to have an enhanced Criminal Records Check prior to starting work at our School. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of your offences.
Please note, the school does not have the resources to send individual notifications to all applicants who are not short listed so if you have not been contacted within four weeks of the closing date, you should assume you have been unsuccessful.
