At the end of January we hold our annual careers fair in school. This is a key event in our careers calendar where we welcome a variety of local businesses, organisations and services into school to highlight the range of career areas and opportunities available to inspire our students
This year we had over 30 stands in attendance, representing specific career areas, apprenticeships, local colleges and universities. The career areas showcased a huge range of sectors that included healthcare (nursing, midwifery and radiology), Construction, Engineering, Teaching, Manufacturing, Public Services, Cyber Security, Logistics, Business & Administration and the armed forces.
All students, from Year 7 through to Year 13 have the opportunity to attend this event during the day to speak to the employers, employees and organisation representatives. The Careers Fair helps all our students to focus on the world of work, to begin to develop their ideas about employment and to make important choices about their futures.
